My auntie has been at Windsong for a few months now. By far the best care. Staff have been cool they treat her like family, The woman in the office Melissa was very helpful and super welcoming. I'm happy to have my auntie in a place that feels like a home not just a nursing home.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! I am so grateful for the care my dad is receiving from every single person at Windsong. The staff cares, they are present, they hear us. The residents speak highly of Bernard and all the staff, and the chef, too- great food! It’s clean, it’s stimulating, it’s wonderful. I get to be here with my dad anytime of the day or night. Thank you, Windsong!

First before I post anything, I understand everyone has their own opinions but I don’t see where or why the bad reviews are posted on here. My situation was different, I’m 35 and I had foot surgery - my apartment was not accommodating at all. I needed more help. Right off the rip, Jackie was so warm and kind, answered all my questions and got me in as soon as possible. All the aides and nurses were amazing - they are the real superhero’s that’s for sure. Michelle, was always readily available to answer questions and get things done. Shelby, Vickie, and Casey helped me with physical and occupational therapy while I was there, they taught me ways to get around. Kirby, the maintenance man was attentive and quick if anything happened. I’ve never stayed in a facility like this, I’m stubborn and try and do things on my own, and they didn’t make me feel bad for needing help. I can honestly say I will miss being there. If your looking for a good, honest, caring place = give them a shot, don’t focus on just negative reviews.

My brother who is currently a resident at this facility called me this evening stating that he was experiencing a great deal of pain. He had shared with me that the nursing staff did not order his pain meds the day before; therefore he was without meds. Out of concern for his pain and the fact that he did not have meds, I asked to speak with the nurse who was in charge of his care. I was transferred to Nurse Corey. Let me say, in my profession, I am trained to pay attention to behavior. From the time that Nurse Corey connected with me by phone the tone of his voice lead me to believe that he was agitated with my concerns/questioning for my brother. He quickly without taking a breath or allowing me to respond (over talking me) went into telling me why my brother was out of his meds, what he did to get the meds ordered, and what treatment he gave him. I tried to communicate my concerns but I guess if you're not good at actively listening it becomes difficult to empathize or validate someone's feelings. Anyway after talking to my brother he wanted to go to the hospital so that his pain could be better managed (forgot to mention that the nursing home skipped a dosage of his pain med). I called back to speak with Nurse Corey. Another staff answered and I was told that he was busy wanting to get his paperwork done so that he could end his shift. I made it clear to her that I needed to speak to Corey or another nurse in charge. She transferred me Corey. Before Corey picked up the call, the phone ranged at least 20 or more time. I proceeded to communicate with Corey that my brother wanted to go to hospital. He rudely says to me, " I wish you had told me this early around 1pm today," huffing and puffing as if I was annoying him with my request. I am my brother's POA and I tried to be patient with this nurse, but at this point was done with the rudeness. As I proceeded to tell him about his unprofessional behavior, he slammed the phone down disconnecting the call. I tried calling back a couple of times and was immediately disconnected. Nurse Corey everyone has bad days every once in a while but it is totally unacceptable to misplace your attitude, anger, and agitation on someone who was originally calling out of concern for a loved one. I am so disappointed because we gave Windsong such a great review upon my brother's arrival to this facility.

I absolutely love this facility. In spite of the difficulties of the pandemic, they still manage to make it feel like a home. So many facilities feel sterile and unwelcoming. This place feels lived-in and fun. It has a different energy, and I love being here. If I had to make the difficult choice to seek out long term care for a loved one, this would be my first choice.
